Mermaids

“Mom is many things... normal isn't one of them.”

Fifteen-year-old Charlotte Flax (Winona Ryder) has lived in more towns than she can count, because her mother Rachel (Cher) packs the car whenever she decides it's time to go. In 1963 they land in a small Massachusetts town, where Rachel starts seeing the shopkeeper Lou Landsky (Bob Hoskins) and Charlotte develops a crush on an older man. Richard Benjamin builds the story around a family that has to decide whether being stuck with each other counts as home.
