Message in a Bottle

“A story of love lost and found.”

Theresa Osborne (Robin Wright), a researcher at the Chicago Tribune, picks up a bottle washed ashore and finds a love letter inside, addressed to a wife who is no longer alive. She traces its writer to Garrett Blake (Kevin Costner), a widowed shipbuilder, and Luis Mandoki follows her from Chicago to Maine and North Carolina. What grows between them is real, but Garrett still writes to his dead wife, and Theresa has to find a place beside that.
