Messenger of Death

“What the cops can't do, he will.”

Garret Smith (Charles Bronson), a Denver reporter, wants to know who killed a family of fundamentalist Mormons in rural Colorado, and why the bodies were left where they were found. J. Lee Thompson sends him through county records, church elders and a water company with its own interest in the land. What Smith keeps running into is how faith and ownership can get wound together until neither side can tell them apart.
