Mia Madre

Margherita (Margherita Buy) is in the middle of shooting a film when her mother's illness reaches the point where it cannot be argued with. Her brother Giovanni (Nanni Moretti) takes time off to sit with their mother, while Barry Huggins (John Turturro), an American actor in her cast, keeps turning up on set and disrupting the schedule. Moretti, who also plays the brother, keeps the hospital rooms and the film set side by side.
