Mickey One

“...and the name of the game is Mickey!”

Mickey (Warren Beatty) was a nightclub comic in Detroit, and now he is running, though he can't say what he did or who is after him. He takes a new name and a job in Chicago, but someone seems to know where he is. Arthur Penn films the city's clubs and streets in broken, jittery fragments, so the dread arrives before anyone explains it.
