Midnight in Paris
“Anything can happen in the city of light.”
Gil (Owen Wilson), a screenwriter with a novel he hasn't finished, is in Paris with his fiancée Inez (Rachel McAdams) and her parents, and every night at midnight he finds himself back in the 1920s. There he sits down with Gertrude Stein (Kathy Bates) and a painter named Salvador Dalí (Adrien Brody), while Inez waits in the present. Woody Allen shoots the modern city in soft, honeyed light, and the past arrives in the same warm glow.
