“Love will light the way.”

Katie Price (Bella Thorne) is seventeen and has spent her whole life indoors during the day, because a rare disease makes even a little sunlight deadly. Scott Speer follows her into a summer romance with Charlie Reed (Patrick Schwarzenegger), a boy she has watched from her window for years. She sits there with her guitar and her father Jack (Rob Riggle) downstairs, and the glass is the only thing between her and the daylight.
