Jill Young (Terry Moore) grew up on her father's ranch in Africa, where she raised an orphaned gorilla named Joe from infancy. Years later she brings him to Hollywood, where Max O'Hara (Robert Armstrong) has promised him a career as a star. Ernest B. Schoedsack made this with the King Kong team, and Willis O'Brien and Ray Harryhausen animated Joe frame by frame.
