Mighty Joe Young

“Survival is an instinct.”

Gregg O'Hara (Bill Paxton) arrives in Africa and finds a gorilla standing fifteen feet tall, raised by Jill Young (Charlize Theron) after poachers killed her mother. He talks her into bringing Joe to his wildlife refuge in California, where the animal should be safe. Ron Underwood follows them across the ocean, and Jill keeps the gorilla in front of her at every step, because Strasser, the poacher who took her mother, is already on their trail.
