Millennium Mambo

A woman in 2011 is looking back at a life she led ten years earlier, and she narrates it from a distance. Vicky (Shu Qi) stays in Taipei's nightlife with her controlling boyfriend Hao-Hao (Duan Chun-hao), while a gangster named Jack (Jack Kao) shows her a kindness she hasn't known. Hou Hsiao-hsien leaves her in the neon haze, her face lit in colors that keep shifting.
