Miller's Girl

“Write what you want.”

In a quiet, academic corner of Tennessee, creative writing teacher Jonathan Miller (Martin Freeman) gives his gifted senior, Cairo Sweet (Jenna Ortega), an assignment that asks her to write in the manner of a published author. Jade Halley Bartlett's debut keeps the classroom talk and the private conferences close together. Cairo's pages draw her to the man who set the task, and he cannot stop reading them.
