Million Dollar Baby

“Beyond his silence, there is a past. Beyond her dreams, there is a feeling. Beyond hope, there is a memory. Beyond their journey, there is a love.”

Maggie Fitzgerald (Hilary Swank) walks into a run-down Los Angeles gym and asks trainer Frankie Dunn (Clint Eastwood) to take her on, though he has never trained a woman and says so. Clint Eastwood directs, with Morgan Freeman as Scrap-Iron, the old fighter who sweeps the floors and watches. Frankie is a man with a daughter who sends back his letters, and Maggie has nothing else to bet on.
