Million Dollar Mermaid

In early 1900s Australia, a young Annette Kellerman (Donna Corcoran) takes to the water to rebuild her legs after polio, and grows into the swimmer Esther Williams plays. Mervyn LeRoy follows her to fame, where her one-piece bathing suit is judged indecent and makes her a public scandal. Annette Kellerman keeps swimming through it, and the scandal only adds to her name.
