Mimino

Valiko Mimino (Vakhtang Kikabidze) flies small helicopters over the mountains of Georgia, and what he wants is a seat on the big international airliners. He goes to Moscow to chase it, and there he meets Rubik (Mher Mkrtchyan), an Armenian from the same Caucasus, far from home in the same city. Georgiy Daneliya makes a film about two men from the mountains who find, in a place built for strangers, that the nearest thing to home is each other.
