Min and Bill

(1930)Directed by George W. Hill66 minDrama, Comedy
“All taking picture”

Min Divot (Marie Dressler) runs a rundown dockside hotel and is raising Nancy Smith (Dorothy Jordan), the girl she took in as a baby, who is now a young woman. Min has to decide what is best for Nancy while Bill (Wallace Beery), the boozy fisherman who lives at the inn, keeps turning up underfoot. George W. Hill puts the two of them in the same room, bickering like an old married couple, and the fights read as affection.
