Minamata

“Let truth be the prejudice.”

W. Eugene Smith (Johnny Depp), the war photographer, goes back to Japan and heads for the coastal communities of Minamata, where mercury poisoning is devastating the people who live there. Andrew Levitas follows him as he takes up his camera to document what has been done to them. Smith works in the village with Aileen (Minami) beside him, the sea at their backs.
