Mio in the Land of Faraway

“They're two best friends, a million miles from home. On an incredible adventure, beyond the boundaries of space and time. In a place called...”

A boy named Bosse (Nick Pickard) lives unwanted with relatives in Stockholm, until he is somehow carried off to a country called Faraway, where he is told he is Mio, the son of its King (Timothy Bottoms). Vladimir Grammatikov sends him on a quest against the knight Kato (Christopher Lee), a ruler the land has learned to fear. At his side is Jum-Jum (Christian Bale), a friend who is the first person to choose Mio, not merely put up with him.
