Edmund Gwenn plays Kris Kringle so completely that shoppers start to wonder whether he's pretending at all, while Doris Walker (Maureen O'Hara), the store's practical event planner, wonders about his sanity. George Seaton follows Kris through New York, and Kris keeps saying, calmly, that he is who he says he is.
