Corrine Morgan-Thomas (Mary-Louise Parker) is raising twin five-year-old sons alone, and she wants them to stay in school. Both boys, Steven and Phillip, have been diagnosed with autism, and school officials are threatening to remove them over their behavior. Gregg Champion follows the family from that diagnosis into the boys' teenage years, with Corrine and her sons learning how to reach one another.
