Miracles of Thursday

In 1957 Fontecilla, a Spanish village in decline, the visitors have stopped coming and the spa is going to seed. Don José (José Isbert) and the other town worthies, among them Don Salvador (Paolo Stoppa), settle on a scheme to bring tourists back. Luis García Berlanga follows a village that has staked its hopes on a miracle it will have to arrange itself, and the whole town now depends on it.
