“Miranda Has Everything!”

In 1948, Dr. Paul Martin (Griffith Jones) goes fishing off the Cornish coast and hauls up a mermaid, Miranda (Glynis Johns), who won't let him go until he agrees to take her to London. Ken Annakin sends the two of them through the city with her tail hidden under a blanket, while his wife Clare (Googie Withers) wonders who this new patient is. Paul is a careful, married man, and Miranda is already rearranging his life.
