Miranda

Miranda (Serena Grandi) runs an inn in 1950s Ferrara, fielding the attentions of the men who pass through while her husband stays missing since the war. Tinto Brass, working loosely from Goldoni's play La locandiera, sets her among suitors like Berto (Andrea Occhipinti) and Carlo (Franco Interlenghi), who each pursue her in a different way. The longer her husband's return is put off, the more Miranda has riding on whom she lets in.
