Miss Julie

“Love is a foolish game”

Midsummer night in 1890s Ireland has put the big house on edge. Miss Julie (Jessica Chastain), the unsettled daughter of the Anglo-Irish aristocracy, has begun urging her father's valet, John (Colin Farrell), to seduce her. Liv Ullmann keeps the story to the house and the hours of one night, with Kathleen (Samantha Morton) nearby, and Julie risks her name, her station and her family's standing.
