Mixtape

Beverly (Gemma Brooke Allen) is twelve and orphaned, and in the last days before Y2K she finds a cassette her teenage parents made, cracked and unplayable. Valerie Weiss sends her hunting for a way to hear it, while her grandmother Gail (Julie Bowen) changes the subject whenever her late daughter comes up. The tape is the one thing that might let Beverly know her parents, and the one thing Gail can't bring herself to talk about.
