Modesty Blaise

(1966)Directed by Joseph Losey120 minComedy, Crime, Action, Thriller
“Nothing can faze Modesty Blaise, the world's deadliest and most dazzlingly female agent!”

Modesty Blaise (Monica Vitti), a secret agent who changes her hair and her clothes at the snap of her fingers, wants to be left alone with her money, until British intelligence uses her as a decoy in a plot to stop a diamond heist. She sees the setup coming and calls in her partner Willie Garvin (Terence Stamp). Joseph Losey stages it as a spy story told entirely in costume, where every room, wig and villain is built to be looked at.
