“Sometimes love is a strange and wicked game.”

George (Bob Hoskins), a small-time crook, walks out of prison into London to find his tough-guy image is out of date. The only work left is driving and minding Simone (Cathy Tyson), a high-class call girl. When she asks him to find a young woman she knew back in her King's Cross days, Neil Jordan puts George in the middle of a search that could cost him far more than his pride.
