Mondocane

Pietro (Dennis Protopapa) and Christian (Giuliano Soprano), two thirteen-year-old orphans, scrape by in a Taranto fenced in by barbed wire that even the police won't cross. Both want a place in one of the gangs fighting over the city's poorest streets, and Testacalda (Alessandro Borghi) is the leader who can give it to them. Alessandro Celli, making his first feature, builds this near-future Italy as a hard, bare place where children are expected to grow up fast.
