Mongol: The Rise of Genghis Khan

“Greatness comes to those who take it.”

In the twelfth century, the steppe is split among warring clans, and a boy named Temüjin is taken in his youth, then sold into slavery. Sergei Bodrov follows him as Temüjin (Tadanobu Asano), who is carried off, hunted and held in chains while the world he will one day take is still divided into feuding tribes. Through all of it runs his bond with Jamukha (Sun Honglei), the blood brother whose friendship the war keeps testing.
