Monkey King: Hero Is Back

Five hundred years after the Monkey King angered the Gods, he is still locked inside an ice cage deep in the mountains. A boy named Jiang Liu'er (Lin Zijie) runs from monsters attacking his village and ends up there, unknowingly setting Sun Wukong (Zhang Lei) free. Tian Xiaopeng, making his directorial debut, animates the fights and the chases in computer-generated 3D, and he keeps the jokes close at hand.
