Monkeybone

“Get boned!”

A car crash puts the cartoonist Stu Miley (Brendan Fraser) in a coma, and he wakes in a waystation for lost souls beside Monkeybone (John Turturro), the loud, scheming monkey he invented. Monkeybone grabs Stu's body and escapes into the real world, while Dr. Julie McElroy (Bridget Fonda) stands by his hospital bed. Henry Selick builds the afterlife out of stop-motion puppets and live actors, crowding every frame with strange creatures.
