Monsieur Hire

Monsieur Hire (Michel Blanc) lives alone in a small apartment, keeps to himself, and spends his nights watching the young woman who lives across the way. Alice (Sandrine Bonnaire) notices him at the window just as a police inspector (André Wilms) starts questioning him about a murder in the neighborhood. Patrice Leconte follows Hire as the one quiet routine he has gets harder to hold onto, and he cannot stop looking.
