Monsoon Wedding

“The rain is coming... and so is the family.”

Delhi is waiting on the monsoon, and in a Punjabi household four days of wedding preparations are about to begin. Lalit Verma (Naseeruddin Shah) is stretched thin trying to pay for the arranged marriage of his daughter Aditi (Vasundhara Das), who is carrying a secret into it, while relatives fly in from around the world. Mira Nair fills the house with so many voices and overlapping errands that the whole family seems to be talking at once.
