Monster

“Based on a true story.”

In 1989 a Florida prostitute named Aileen Wuornos (Charlize Theron) meets Selby Wall (Christina Ricci), a young woman who becomes her partner. Aileen means to straighten out her life, but her limited education sends her back to the corner. Patty Jenkins follows what happens next at close range, and Aileen keeps reaching for a life with Selby that every turn makes harder to hold.
