Monster-in-Law

“This relationship is going to be a real mother.”

Charlie (Jennifer Lopez) is an office temp who thinks she has finally found Mr. Right in Dr. Kevin Fields (Michael Vartan), a gorgeous surgeon. Standing between them is his mother, Viola Fields (Jane Fonda), who is not about to hand over her son and sets out to become the worst mother-in-law imaginable. Robert Luketic stages the clash as a broad, bright comedy, and it marked Fonda's first film in fifteen years.
