Monster's Ball

“A lifetime of change can happen in a single moment.”

Hank Grotowski (Billy Bob Thornton) is a prison guard in Georgia who wants nothing to change, least of all himself. Then he meets Leticia Musgrove (Halle Berry), the widow of a man whose execution he helped carry out, and she has no idea who he is. Marc Forster follows their slow, wary romance, where every kindness Hank offers rests on a secret he can't take back.
