“The past can pull you under.”

In the 1950s, Laura (Christina Ricci) drives her seven-year-old son Cody (Santino Barnard) away from an abusive husband to a remote house. The place is quiet and pretty, and she means it to be a fresh start. Mr. Langtree (Don Baldaramos) and Mrs. Langtree (Colleen Camp) are on hand to help the new arrivals settle in. Chris Sivertson keeps Laura and Cody in the one house, where the stillness holds the dread.
