Moonlight Mile

“In life and love, expect the unexpected.”

Joe Nast (Jake Gyllenhaal) is a young man in a small town, days after the death of his fiancée, and he has moved into the home of her parents, Ben (Dustin Hoffman) and Jojo Floss (Susan Sarandon). Everyone around them keeps asking how they are holding up, and each of them has a different answer ready. Brad Silberling, who wrote the film out of his own grief for his girlfriend and his bond with her parents, keeps the camera close to the three of them in the house.
