Moonrise Kingdom

“A story of young love, wild adventures, and a very neat escape.”

New Penzance is a small island off the coast of New England, and in the summer of 1965 two twelve-year-olds there decide to run away together. Sam Shakusky (Jared Gilman) is an orphan who slips out of his scout camp, and Suzy Bishop (Kara Hayward) is the pen pal he has arranged to meet. Scout Master Ward (Edward Norton) starts the search, while Wes Anderson holds the island in its last stretch of calm before a storm moves in off the water.
