Mosquita y Mari

A teacher pairs two fifteen-year-old Chicana girls as study partners, and Yolanda (Fenessa Pineda), the careful student, finds herself spending afternoons with Mari (Venecia Troncoso), the new girl who keeps her distance. What grows between them is close and hard to name, and neither has the words for it. Aurora Guerrero stays near their faces and hands, in the quiet of ordinary afternoons.
