Mother

“No one misunderstands you better.”

In 1996, John Henderson (Albert Brooks) is a twice-divorced science fiction writer who decides his troubles trace back to his mother, and he moves into his childhood home to sort them out. Beatrice (Debbie Reynolds) is happy to have him, though her cooking and her habits come with the room. Albert Brooks directs, and with his brother Jeff (Rob Morrow) already skeptical, John has set himself a test that could cost him whatever is left of his family.
