Mother, Jugs & Speed

“They don't call them that for nothing!”

Jugs (Raquel Welch) works the office at a struggling independent ambulance service in Los Angeles, and she is the one who ends up riding along with the crew when patients need reaching. Peter Yates sends her out with Mother (Bill Cosby) and Speed (Harvey Keitel, a suspended cop), all of them racing rival outfits to the same calls. Harry Fishbine (Allen Garfield) is the boss, and the ambulance is the thing that has to keep running.
