Eliza Welsh (Uma Thurman) lives in Manhattan with two small children and wants one ordinary thing: to give her daughter a proper sixth birthday party. Katherine Dieckmann follows her through the day as the errands, the schedules and the people around her pull in other directions. The party is a few hours off, and Eliza has to get everything to line up before then.
