Motherland Hotel

Zebercet (Macit Koper) works the desk of a hotel that hardly anyone visits, keeping his days in a strict, obsessive order. Then a woman (Şahika Tekand) rents a room, gives no name, stays a single night and leaves, and she comes back a week later. Ömer Kavur, adapting Yusuf Atılgan's novel, watches Zebercet with patience, holding the camera on the empty lobby and the man waiting in it.
