Motherless Brooklyn

Lionel Essrog (Edward Norton), a private detective with Tourette syndrome, is left in 1957 New York with a dead mentor, Frank Minna (Bruce Willis), and only a few vague clues to go on. Norton, who also directs, sends him through the city's back rooms toward the powerful Moses Randolph (Alec Baldwin). Lionel's mind catches on every detail and won't let go, and he keeps pulling at the thread even when it starts to cost him.
