“Celebrate the one day that connects us all”

Sandy (Jennifer Aniston) is a single mother in Atlanta whose ex-husband has married a younger woman, and the week before Mother's Day puts all three of them in the same small orbit. Garry Marshall follows her through several families, among them Jesse (Kate Hudson) and Miranda Collins (Julia Roberts). Under all the holiday errands sits the question of what a mother and a daughter owe each other.
