Mothers' Instinct

Alice Brunelle (Veerle Baetens) and Céline Geniot (Anne Coesens) are neighbors in a Belgian housing development, and their families have grown close over the years. A sudden tragedy uproots both households, and Olivier Masset-Depasse, adapting Barbara Abel's novel Behind the Hatred, follows what it does to the marriages inside them. The warmth between the two women is still there, but each begins to look at the other differently.
