Mothra vs. Godzilla

“A massive Mach 3 moth! The heavy missile tank Godzilla! The sky, sea, and land quake in the fierce battle of the century!”

A typhoon has just torn through the Japanese coast when journalist Ichiro Sakai (Akira Takarada) and photographer Junko Nakanishi (Yuriko Hoshi) arrive to cover the wreckage. Among the debris sits an enormous egg, claimed by businessmen who mean to profit from it, until Mothra's tiny fairies come to ask for it back. Ishirō Honda sets a god-like moth against Godzilla, and the people of Japan must plead for help from those they have already turned away.
