Moulin Rouge

(1952)Directed by John Huston119 minDrama
“Wild, wicked, wonderful Paris...all her loves, ladies and lusty legends!”

In 1890 Paris, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec (José Ferrer) takes a table at the Moulin Rouge, the one nightclub where a crippled artist feels he belongs. Over the following years he meets two women, among them Marie Charlet (Colette Marchand), who offer him a chance at real love. John Huston, working in saturated color, fills the club and the streets around it with a painter's reds, yellows and smoke.
