Mr. Church

“He was the one person she could always count on.”

Marie Brooks (Natascha McElhone) is dying, and what she wants is for her young daughter Charlie to be looked after. The cook she inherits, Henry Church (Eddie Murphy), arrives for a six-month arrangement and stays fifteen years. Bruce Beresford follows Charlotte (Britt Robertson) from child to young woman, and Mr. Church becomes the one person she can count on.
