The Devil of Venice

Furio Momenté (Gabriel Lo Giudice) is a government official sent to a rural Italian town in the 1950s with one job: find out why a boy was killed. The accused is another child, a boy who says he did it to kill the Devil. Pupi Avati films the countryside as an old, closed place, and lets the villagers' stories pile up around the case, each one pulling the inquiry further from the plain facts of the murder.
